Pendleton, OR – Eastern Oregon remains under a Winter Storm Warning until 10 a.m. Wednesday as snow continues to blanket the region, causing hazardous travel conditions. Accumulations between 2 to 3 inches are expected overnight, with slick roads and reduced visibility impacting commutes.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pendleton, scattered snow showers will persist into Wednesday morning before tapering off in the afternoon. Overnight lows will drop to 18°F, and winds could reach 7 mph. Another round of snow is likely Thursday night into Friday, with patchy freezing fog also in the forecast.
Drivers are urged to limit travel if possible and prepare for icy conditions. Those who must travel should carry emergency kits, tire chains, and warm clothing. The most significant snowfall is expected before 10 a.m. Friday, with accumulations of up to 2 inches.
