Injured Man Rushed to Hospital After South Union Avenue Shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A shooting incident occurred on South Union Avenue, resulting in severe injuries to a man, and local authorities are actively seeking the individuals responsible.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 10:13 a.m., prompting deputies to respond to the 2700 block of South Union Avenue due to reports of a possible shooting victim.

Upon the arrival of deputies, they discovered a man, approximately 50 years old, who had sustained significant injuries. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

This incident occurred in close proximity to the intersection of South Union Avenue and Rexland Drive.

The suspects involved in this incident are described as males, approximately 5 feet 7 inches in height, weighing around 180 pounds each. At the time of the incident, one of the males was dressed in a white shirt and blue jeans and was armed with a rifle.

The other suspect was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Both individuals fled the scene in an eastbound direction in a white Chevrolet Pickup truck equipped with chrome rims.
