Jo Koy and Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias look to make history in Inglewood
An iconic collaboration is coming to Inglewood, and they’re both dear friends of the KTLA 5 Morning News.
Comedians Jo Koy and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias are headed to SoFi Stadium on March 21, 2026, the pair told the Los Angeles Times. This will be the venue’s first stand-up performance, and they want to break some records.
If they sell out SoFi, which is about 70,000 people, they’ll achieve the Guinness World Record for the largest comedic audience. Right now, German comedian Mario Bath, who hosted a July 2008 show at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, holds the record at 67,733 people.
“For one day, the two of us will be Taylor Swift,” Iglesias told the outlet.
Fans of the pair shouldn’t be surprised that the two have joined forces, seeing as they’ve been longtime friends and tend to crash each other’s shows.
“I think every time that we crash each other’s shows, we see the reaction of the fans, and people get excited,” Iglesias told the Times. “And the more we do that, the more we realize we have a lot of the same fans. We’ve always wanted to do shows together, yeah, like trying to make it make sense.”
“I play the Forum, and then as I’m pulling in this … it’s dwarfing the Forum,” Koy explained. “This is a massive deal. To share the stage with this guy is gonna be incredible.”
In 2024, Koy made history with his back-to-back sold-out shows at the venue. So far, he’s broken records at that historic stage with a total of six sold-out shows.
Meanwhile, the outlet pointed out that Fluffy was the first comedian to sell out Dodger Stadium in 2022 for the Netflix Is a Joke Festival. It also noted that he broke records for the most fines accrued for going over the stadium’s curfew. He had to pay $250,000 because he didn’t leave until 4:00 a.m.
“I’m the reason the Dodgers could afford Ohtani this year,” Fuffy laughed. “That being said, I’ve learned a couple things, and we’re gonna apply them to this. And I think that it has to make sense, and it’s gonna make sense.”
The show is expected to be about four hours and will have them performing back-to-back, and yes, they’ll have plenty of surprise guests.
“I always wanted to do a show with [Iglesias] and it was him that was like, ‘Hey, let’s do SoFi,’” Koy chuckled. “Like, can we just start small? … this is [Iglesias’] brain child. I love it that it took someone like Gabe to come up with something this big and to inspire me to do it.”
