Kenosha County Deputies Arrest Man Wanted for Kidnapping and Violent Felonies

Kenosha County, WI – A man wanted for several violent felony charges was arrested Thursday morning following a tactical operation.

Law enforcement officers responded around 7:50 a.m. to a residence on the 23200 block of 31st Street. The suspect, Ascension “Chon” Obregon, was wanted on multiple felony warrants, including kidnapping and battery.

According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, detectives, and tactical teams worked to secure the area. Officers evacuated the family from the residence and used loudspeakers to negotiate with Obregon. He initially refused to exit.

After two hours of negotiations, Obregon exited the home at 9:40 a.m. without further resistance. Deputies reported no injuries or use of force during the arrest.

Obregon faces several charges, including false imprisonment, endangering safety, and disorderly conduct. Authorities reminded residents they can contact 911 via text if they cannot safely make a call.
