Paducah, KY – A flood warning remains in effect for the Ohio River at Paducah through Saturday, March 1, as moderate flooding continues. Residents near riverbanks should stay alert, with water levels expected to remain near 43 feet through Tuesday before receding.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), heavy rainfall earlier this month contributed to rising river levels, affecting several unprotected towns. Officials urge motorists to avoid driving through flooded areas and to heed all road barricades.

Looking ahead, Monday will see increasing clouds and a high near 55°F, with southwest winds up to 8 mph. Monday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 36°F. Tuesday brings sunshine and a high of 61°F, followed by partly cloudy skies at night with a low of 41°F. Wednesday has a slight chance of rain after noon, with a high of 66°F, while showers could develop overnight. Thursday will be mostly sunny, reaching 54°F.

With floodwaters still impacting parts of the region, residents should remain cautious and monitor updates from the NWS. Those in low-lying areas should be prepared for potential water movement, and travelers should check road conditions before heading out.
