Paducah, KY – After a cold start to the week, Western Kentucky residents can expect a much-needed warm-up beginning Saturday. Temperatures will climb into the mid-50s by Tuesday, offering a reprieve from winter’s chill.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, sunny skies will dominate the weekend, with highs reaching 50 degrees Saturday and 45 degrees Sunday. Friday’s temperatures will peak around 35 degrees, but the overnight low of 15 degrees will give way to steady warming through the weekend.

Local roads, including U.S. Route 60 and I-24, are expected to remain dry and safe as precipitation is unlikely until midweek. Monday and Tuesday will see continued sunny conditions, with highs reaching 47 degrees and 55 degrees, respectively.

The region could see light rain by Wednesday, but no severe weather is expected. Residents should still monitor updated forecasts as conditions develop. The January thaw is set to bring milder conditions, perfect for outdoor activities or catching up on errands without battling freezing temperatures.

Extended forecasts predict highs staying above 50 degrees for much of next week, a stark contrast to the lows experienced earlier this month.

Stay tuned to local weather updates and plan accordingly as the warmer trend continues.
