Jackson, KY – Residents in eastern Kentucky should prepare for minor snow accumulations overnight as a cold front moves through the region.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow is expected between 11 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday. Most areas will see a dusting to half an inch of snow, with up to an inch possible in mountainous areas bordering Tennessee and Virginia. Temperatures are expected to dip below freezing, which could lead to slick spots on roads, particularly in areas with snow accumulation.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling overnight.
