Paducah, KY – Two winter storm systems are set to bring snow, ice, and rain to Kentucky and surrounding states early next week, with potential travel disruptions from Monday night through Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, the first system will arrive Monday night into Tuesday, bringing a wintry mix of rain and snow. Minor travel impacts are possible, with a 5 to 30 percent chance of hazardous conditions across western Kentucky and southern Illinois.
The second storm will quickly follow, impacting the region from Wednesday into Wednesday night. This system carries a slightly higher risk of travel disruptions, particularly in northern and western Kentucky, where the probability of impacts ranges from 10 to 30 percent.
While forecast uncertainty remains, officials advise residents to monitor updates and prepare for slick roads. Commuters should plan for possible delays, and drivers are urged to use caution on potentially icy surfaces.
