On Wednesday, August 30, in Bakersfield, California, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals following a vehicle pursuit near Di Giorgio Road.
The incident began when deputies tried to initiate a traffic stop on one of the suspects near Ralph Avenue and Buena Vista Boulevard on Friday, August 18, around 8:32 p.m. This individual, driving a black 2012 Cadillac, reportedly fled, leading deputies on a chase. Unfortunately, he managed to evade capture at that time.
Fast forward to August 30, at approximately 3:48 p.m., deputies spotted the same man behind the wheel of the same black 2012 Cadillac near Main Street and Buena Vista Boulevard. Once again, he fled recklessly, eventually abandoning the vehicle on Di Giorgio Road. A warrant for his arrest was issued, prompting law enforcement to establish a perimeter and conduct a search.
During this operation, another vehicle, occupied by two additional men, entered the established perimeter but refused to stop. Their attempt to escape ended when their vehicle became stuck along the railroad tracks. Although the men attempted to flee on foot, deputies successfully apprehended them without any major incidents.
One of the arrested individuals had an outstanding felony warrant and was reportedly found in possession of ammunition and burglary tools. Additionally, the first man who initially fled was located in a nearby apartment complex, where he was allegedly found with drug paraphernalia.
All three men were taken into custody and booked into the Kern County Jail. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact KCSO at 661-861-3110 or the Secret Witness Hotline at 661-322-4040.
