L.A. police chase, detain alleged armed and dangerous robbery suspects

Officers have detained two wanted suspects after a chase in South Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA on Monday night.

LAPD said the driver and passenger were armed and dangerous robbery suspects.

Sky5 was overhead. KTLA’s Gil Leyvas reported the suspects had robbed a liquor store before initiating the LAPD pursuit.

KTLA live-streamed the chase, and the video footage will be uploaded to this story when it’s done uploading.

The chase, which went on and off of the 110 Freeway, exited on Imperial Highway and made a right at 113th Street, where the suspect vehicle crashed into another car, ending the vehicle pursuit.

The suspect vehicle rolled up against a palm tree and the driver and passenger both jumped out, according to Leyvas.

It wasn’t long before LAPD detained the driver, but the second suspect jumped a nearby fence and ran onto someone’s property.

The suspect was seen trying to gate himself into someone’s backyard while LAPD deployed K9 units to finish making the arrest.
