Warren, PA – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Warren and McKean counties as lake effect snow continues Wednesday afternoon. Snow is expected to taper off by 7 p.m., with additional accumulations of up to one inch. A new round of snowfall will begin Thursday morning and continue into Friday, with accumulations of two to three inches expected.

According to the National Weather Service, the second advisory will go into effect at 7 a.m. Thursday and remain active until 7 a.m. Friday. Hazardous road conditions are anticipated during both the Thursday morning and evening commutes.

In Cambria, Clearfield, and Elk counties, a separate winter weather advisory will also take effect from 7 a.m. Thursday through 7 a.m. Friday. Snow accumulations of two to three inches are forecast, with higher amounts possible near and south of Route 22. Slippery roads are expected to impact travel throughout the day.

Authorities urge residents to reduce travel speed and exercise caution when driving. For current road conditions, drivers can call Pennsylvania’s 511 service.

Temperatures are expected to hover in the low 20s across the affected areas, with wind chills making it feel colder. Officials advise preparing for reduced visibility and slippery surfaces, especially on untreated roads and sidewalks.

Be sure to monitor local weather updates and allow extra time for travel. The latest snowfall is expected to be light but could cause significant delays for commuters.
