LAPD Fatally Shoots Armed Man in South L.A. Vehicle Incident

The Los Angeles police fatally shot and killed an armed individual after he unlawfully entered a vehicle on Sunday morning in South L.A.

This incident took place near the intersection of South Hoover Street and West Gage Avenue, outside a residence, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department.

In response to a report of an ongoing grand theft auto around 5:30 a.m., LAPD officers swiftly arrived at the scene.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, was discovered inside the victim’s vehicle in the driveway. Upon observing that the suspect was carrying a firearm, the police took action by firing their weapons.

The individual was hit by gunfire and subsequently apprehended, according to a statement by the LAPD on Twitter.

Emergency medical personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the location and declared the suspect deceased. The individual’s identity has not yet been disclosed.

The LAPD stated on Twitter, “The firearm belonging to the suspect was left at the scene and will be retained as evidence.” Fortunately, neither law enforcement officers nor any bystanders sustained injuries during the incident.
