LAPD Launches Investigation into Taco Stand Robberies in South Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES – Employees and customers at a taco stand in South Los Angeles experienced a horrifying ordeal when two individuals, armed with guns, robbed them. This incident took place during yet another robbery targeting taco stands in the area.

According to investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department, the robbery occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday. The taco stand, situated in the 400 block of Manchester Avenue in South LA’s Green Meadows neighborhood, had already been targeted earlier this month.

As per an employee’s account, two suspects wearing ski masks approached the stand and patiently waited until most of the customers had left. They then brandished their firearms, attempting to rob a few customers and subsequently targeting the taco stand itself.

The employee stated that they handed over approximately $50 to the suspects. Disappointed with the meager sum, the robbers left the scene, with one of them firing a shot while making their escape. Thankfully, no one was injured by the gunfire.

The LAPD officials mentioned that the descriptions of the suspects did not match those from previous taco stand robberies.

The LAPD is seeking information from the public regarding these taco stand robberies. If anyone has any relevant details, they are urged to contact the LAPD.
