Los Angeles chefs compete for ‘Top Chef’ title

This upcoming season of “Top Chef” may be in Canada, but Los Angeles will be well represented by two cheftestants.

“Katianna Hong, a chef and partner at Los Angeles’s genre-bending Korean American restaurant Yangban, and Kat Turner, the executive chef and partner at all-day cafe Highly Likely, will head to Canada and compete with 13 other contestants to be named the next ‘Top Chef’ champion,” Eater notes.

Yangban, formerly Yangban Society, is located in the Arts District and is a popular Korean-American restaurant that has been featured in the Michelin Guide. Highly Likely is a cafe with locations in West Adams and Highland Park.

This season, the show’s 22nd, will largely take place in Canada and begins airing on March 13.

It marks the second season with host Kristen Kish, who replaced long-serving host Padma Lakshmi.
