Shreveport, LA – A flood watch has been issued for parts of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas as heavy rain threatens to cause excessive runoff and flooding from Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected across the affected areas, including Shreveport, Monroe, Natchitoches, El Dorado, and Marshall. Urban areas and locations with poor drainage may experience flash flooding, while rivers and creeks could overflow.

Officials warn that rain and thunderstorms will intensify Tuesday, continuing through Tuesday night and into Wednesday. Residents in flood-prone areas should remain alert and prepared for potential evacuations if conditions worsen.
