Shreveport, LA – Temperatures will stay unseasonably warm this week, with highs near 80°F in Shreveport before rain chances increase by the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 79°F and light south winds at 5 mph. Nighttime lows will dip to 65°F under partly cloudy skies. Wednesday will bring similar conditions, with gusty winds reaching up to 20 mph.

Thursday and Friday will continue the warming trend, with highs peaking at 81°F and 75°F, respectively. However, a shift in conditions is expected over the weekend. A 20% chance of showers arrives Saturday night, increasing to 40% Sunday, bringing much-needed rain to the region.

Residents should take advantage of the dry, warm conditions early in the week, as weekend plans may need adjustments. Those traveling along I-20 should prepare for potential slick roads by Sunday.
