Man found shot to death in Orange County; suspect at large

Police are searching for a suspect after a man was fond shot to death in Orange County.

On Aug. 26, 2024, police responded to reports of a shooting near 810 S. Townsend Street in Santa Ana. 

Officers found a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooter fled the scene in a Honda Accord EX sedan. The vehicle is described as a silver 2013-2016 model with a sunroof, 10-spoke wheels and windows without tint.

The vehicle has a temporary California license plate with the first letters possibly being “D” and “E,” investigators said.

On Monday, Feb. 10, Santa Ana police posted a photo of the vehicle, asking the public for assistance in the case.

Details, including the motive behind the fatal shooting or the victim’s name, were not released. 

Detectives said a reward is available for information leading to the suspect’s identification, apprehension and conviction.
