Man Injured in Shooting Incident in Northeast Bakersfield: Updates!

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Sheriff deputies are piecing together the events leading up to a shooting in northeast Bakersfield.

On Tuesday night around 8 p.m., deputies were called to Fairfax and Alfred Harrell Highway. They discovered a 28-year-old man with severe injuries, as stated in a press release by KCSO.

The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention, and his current condition remains unknown.

Authorities believe that the suspect involved was driving a black Chevy pickup truck from the early 2000s, which appeared to be lifted.

However, no description of the suspect is available at this time, according to the news release.
