Boston, MA – A fast-moving clipper system will bring light snow to Massachusetts from Sunday night into early Monday. Roads could be slick for the Monday morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service Boston, most areas will see 1 to 2 inches of snow. Higher totals of 2 to 3 inches are possible in western Massachusetts. The snow will begin Sunday evening and taper off by early Monday.

The system will move quickly, with conditions improving by Monday morning. However, untreated roads could remain slippery. Drivers should allow extra travel time.

Eastern Massachusetts, including Boston, will see lighter snowfall, with accumulations near an inch. Southeastern areas, including Cape Cod and the islands, will receive less than an inch.

Temperatures will remain near freezing, limiting significant accumulation. Winds will stay light, reducing blowing snow concerns.
