Boston, MA – Light snow will move into southern New England late Tuesday and continue through early Wednesday. Commuters should prepare for slick roads during the morning rush.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, snowfall will begin after 10 p.m. and taper off by 8 a.m. Wednesday. Most areas will see between 0.5 and 3 inches. Northern Massachusetts has the highest chance for 2 inches or more, while higher elevations, such as the Berkshires, could receive up to 4 inches.

Forecasters warn that untreated roads and sidewalks may become slippery, increasing the risk of travel delays. Drivers should allow extra time for their morning commute and use caution on the roads.

This system will exit quickly, leading to improved conditions by midday Wednesday. However, cold temperatures may keep some icy spots on shaded roads.

Residents should monitor local forecasts for updates and prepare for possible travel disruptions.
