Boston, MA – Snowfall totals are in from last night’s storm, with widespread accumulations of 4 to 6 inches across Massachusetts, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Isolated areas, particularly in central parts of the state, recorded totals as high as 7 inches.
The storm swept through the region overnight, leaving slippery roads and snow-covered surfaces in its wake. Worcester County experienced some of the heaviest snowfall, with localized peaks near 7.5 inches. Eastern Massachusetts, including Boston, reported accumulations closer to 4.5 to 6 inches.
Temperatures in Boston are expected to remain frigid, hovering around 22°F today, with wind chills making it feel closer to 8°F. Sunny skies are forecasted throughout the day, but lows tonight will dip into the single digits.
Residents are advised to clear snow from sidewalks and vehicles promptly to avoid refreezing tonight. Drivers should proceed with caution as untreated roads may remain slick.
