Massachusetts Wind Advisory: Gusts Up to 50 MPH Expected Until 4 PM Friday

Boston, MA – A cold front is bringing powerful winds across Massachusetts, with gusts reaching 50 mph. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Wind Advisoryuntil 4 PM Friday, particularly affecting Worcester, Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties.

According to the NWS, sustained west winds of 20-30 mph will create hazardous conditions. Strong gusts may lead to downed branches, power outages, and difficult driving, especially for high-profile vehicles. Residents should secure loose objectsand prepare for possible disruptions.

Forecast data shows peak wind gusts between late morning and early afternoon, with Boston, Worcester, and Springfield seeing the strongest impacts. Winds will weaken by evening.
