Marquette, MI – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of central Upper Michigan from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, with mixed precipitation expected to create hazardous travel conditions.
According to the National Weather Service in Marquette, affected areas include Marquette, Alger, Luce, Delta, and portions of Schoolcraft counties. Forecasters predict light snow accumulations of less than one inch and ice accumulations of under one-tenth of an inch.
Roads, especially untreated surfaces, may become slick, leading to potential travel difficulties during the Monday morning commute. Drivers are advised to use caution and allow extra time when traveling.
