Minnesota Weekend Weather: Snow and Breezy Conditions Expected Across Duluth Area Saturday and Sunday

Duluth, MN – Snow showers and freezing temperatures are forecast for the Duluth area this weekend, with windy conditions expected to persist. Residents should prepare for potential travel delays and icy roads as light snow develops Friday and continues into Sunday night.

According to the National Weather Service, snow is likely to begin Friday afternoon, with accumulations of less than half an inch. Breezy conditions will accompany highs of 18 degrees and wind gusts up to 20 mph. By Friday night, the temperature will drop to 13 degrees, with additional snow showers possible before midnight.

Saturday will bring partly sunny skies and a high near 23 degrees. A slight chance of snow exists before noon, followed by calmer weather. Breezy winds will persist, making it feel colder than the actual temperature. Overnight lows Saturday will reach 4 degrees.

Sunday will see light snow returning in the evening hours, with highs reaching 26 degrees. Wind speeds will remain steady at 10 to 20 mph. Flurries are expected to taper off late Sunday night.

Looking ahead, Monday’s forecast calls for a slight warming trend, with sunny skies and a high of 32 degrees. However, temperatures will drop again Monday night, bringing lows of 12 degrees.

Drivers should exercise caution throughout the weekend, especially during snow showers and breezy conditions. Prepare for possible slick roads on Highway 61 and other major routes.
