Missing 14-year-old mother and infant son last seen in Orange County

Police are asking for the community’s help in searching for a 14-year-old mother and her infant son who were last seen in Orange County.

The Santa Ana Police Department said the mother and son have been missing since Saturday morning when they were last seen at their home in the 400 block of South Daisy Street.

Police said the mother’s name is Marilyn Perez, and her 6-month-old son’s name is Misael Perez.

Details are limited, and police did not immediately say whether the pair is believed to be on foot, or what – if any – their last contact was like with whoever was last with them.

The police department posted their missing person alert to X on Sunday afternoon, describing Marilyn as a 14-year-old Hispanic female who stands 5 feet and 3 inches tall and weighs about 100 lbs.

In addition, the post said Marilyn has brown hair and brown eyes.

Although the post did not provide the same visual details for Misael, the photo shows that the infant also appears to have brown hair and brown eyes.

The SAPD Watch Commander encouraged anyone with information on the pair’s whereabouts to contact them at 714-245-8700 or Detective Corporal B. Speakman at 714-245-8431 or bspeakman@santa-ana.org.
