Missing Woman Alert: 19-Year-Old Andrea Vasquez Missing After Shooting

A family residing in Whittier, a city within Los Angeles County, is desperately seeking the safe return of 19-year-old Andrea Vasquez. She was abducted during a shooting incident that occurred early Sunday morning, according to the police.

Vasquez’s last known whereabouts were in the Penn Park parking lot, shortly after midnight. She was in a vehicle with her boyfriend when an armed individual approached and began firing shots at them.

“The male witness fled from the scene and upon his return, he discovered traces of blood near the vehicle, and his female companion was nowhere to be found,” stated the police report.

Andrea Vasquez is identified as a Hispanic young woman, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing around 103 pounds. She has brownish-red hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was dressed in a black, long-sleeve crop top, khaki pants, and black, low-top Converse shoes.

Additionally, law enforcement pointed out that she has a tattoo on the back of her neck reading “Edlyn,” and a tattoo of the Aries constellation on her right hand. She also possesses a belly button piercing.

Her family is deeply distressed and anxious for her safe return. “The pain is something no one should endure,” expressed her mother, Anna. “She meant the world to me.”

Vasquez’s older sister, Edlyn, shared, “Finding it difficult to sleep, the guilt of resting is overwhelming. She preferred staying at home. She was my closest companion.”

Edlyn mentioned tracing Andrea’s phone to Moreno Valley, located southeast of Los Angeles. She recounted, “Upon reaching that location that night, the police were alerted. They employed drones, canines, and a considerable number of personnel to search the area. However, we are still without substantial information.”

Although investigators are pursuing various leads, there is currently no description available of the suspect involved.
