St. Louis, MO – A wet and wintry mix is expected to hit the St. Louis area this weekend, bringing rain Saturday before transitioning to snow Monday night. Drivers should prepare for slick roads, especially along major routes like I-70 and I-55.
According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will see rain, mainly before 9 a.m., with gusty southeast winds shifting northwest by the afternoon. Highs will reach 49°F before cooling into the upper 30s. By Monday night, snow is likely after midnight, with a 70% chance of precipitation and lows around 30°F.
Sunday offers a brief break with partly sunny skies and a high near 39°F. However, the next system moves in Monday, bringing mostly cloudy skies and highs near 40°F. By Tuesday morning, snow remains likely, with a 60% chance of accumulation.
