Nashville, TN – A motorcyclist died after a crash Monday at 6 p.m. on Nolensville Pike at Haywood Lane. The crash involved a Honda Civic and a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

According to Metro Nashville Police, Austin Harrison, 25, rode between two outbound lanes at high speed. A Honda Civic, traveling inbound, turned left on a green light but lacked a green arrow. The motorcycle struck the car’s passenger side during the turn.

Emergency responders transported Harrison and two women from the Honda to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Harrison later died. He wore a helmet at the time.

The two female passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police cited the 20-year-old Honda driver for driving without a license. Officers found no signs of impairment in either driver.

The Metro Nashville Police Department urges motorcyclists to remain visible, create space, and watch for blind spots. They also recommend always wearing helmets.
