Omaha, NE – Rain is expected to increase tonight, mainly south of Interstate 80, before tapering off early Friday. Temperatures will remain above average until a cold front Sunday night brings a significant drop.
According to the National Weather Service Omaha/Valley, rain chances tonight range from 30% to 60%, with lows between 25-33°F. Friday morning could see lingering showers before clearing, with highs reaching 43-50°F.
Saturday remains mild, with highs between 48-58°F under mostly cloudy skies. By Sunday evening, temperatures will start to fall sharply as a cold front moves in, dropping lows to 20-28°F.
Monday will feel significantly colder, with highs only reaching 30-43°F and lows plunging into the teens. By Tuesday, temperatures will struggle to rise above freezing, ranging from 13-21°F during the day and dipping into single digits overnight.
A wintry mix is possible by Wednesday, with highs between 28-40°F. Residents should prepare for changing conditions, especially early next week. Drivers should remain cautious of potential icy roads and fluctuating temperatures.
