A storm system moving into Southern Nevada is expected to bring rain and snow showers to Las Vegas by Wednesday night. Residents should prepare for changing road conditions and cooler temperatures as precipitation increases.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60% chance of rain and snow showers between midnight and 5 a.m. Thursday. Rain showers are expected to continue through the morning before tapering off by midday. High temperatures will reach 54°F, with overnight lows dropping to 36°F.

Thursday will remain wet, with a 100% chance of showers and lows around 49°F. More rain is likely Friday morning before clearing skies in the afternoon. Weekend conditions will improve, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 60s by Saturday.

Drivers along I-15 and I-515 should be cautious as rain and possible snow accumulation could create slippery conditions. Commuters should allow extra time for travel Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
