New Hampshire and Maine Weather Alert: Heavy Snow and Ice Expected Thursday

Concord, NH – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for southern and central New Hampshire and southwest Maine from 8 AM to 8 PM EST Thursday, with up to 5 inches of snow and light ice accumulation expected.
According to the National Weather Service in Gray, ME, snow will develop Thursday morning, falling at up to 1 inch per hour before transitioning to sleet and freezing rain in the afternoon. Affected areas include Manchester, Laconia, Portland, and Portsmouth.
Roads will become snow-covered and slippery, especially during the Thursday afternoon and evening commutes.
