New York, NY – A mix of rain and snow is in the forecast for New York City this weekend as February begins. Residents should prepare for changing conditions, with a chance of snow late Sunday into early Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will bring steady rain throughout the day with temperatures peaking at 45°F before dropping to 41°F overnight. Rain is expected to taper off by early Saturday, making way for mostly sunny skies and falling temperatures. The daytime high will reach 41°F before dropping to 25°F at night.

Sunday will remain mostly cloudy with a high of 41°F. However, a 30% chance of rain and snow is expected late Sunday night, with temperatures hovering around 38°F. The wintry mix could impact early Monday commutes.

Looking ahead, Monday will see a slight warm-up to 51°F but will remain mostly cloudy. Temperatures will drop to 36°F at night, followed by a sunny Tuesday with highs near 42°F.

Residents should stay updated on weather changes and prepare for possible slippery roads Sunday night into Monday morning.
