North Dakota Snowmobile Accident Sends Rider to Hospital with Serious Injuries

McLean County, ND – A 21-year-old man from Minot suffered serious injuries after a snowmobile crash on Thursday afternoon.
The rider was traveling northbound in the west ditch near Highway 83 and 21st Street NW around 3:30 p.m. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the snowmobile hit an embankment and vaulted off the roadway before crashing.
Emergency responders, including the McLean County Sheriff’s Office and Garrison-Max Ambulance District, arrived at the scene. The rider was wearing a helmet and was transported to Trinity Hospital by ambulance.
Authorities identified the vehicle as a 2015 Polaris 700 RMK snowmobile. Officials stated the crash is under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident. They urge riders to follow safety measures, especially near roadways and embankments.
