Grand Forks, ND – A chance of snow combined with gusty winds Monday night could create hazardous travel conditions near Grand Forks. Drivers are urged to remain cautious on area roads, including Highway 2, as visibility may be reduced.

The National Weather Service reports that snow could begin late Monday and persist into early Tuesday. Winds from the northwest will reach speeds of 15 to 30 mph, with gusts potentially higher in eastern North Dakota. Overnight temperatures will range from 16°F to 22°F, making icy roads likely.

On Tuesday, light snow could linger during the morning before breezy conditions and temperatures in the mid-30s take hold. Winds will gradually subside by Tuesday afternoon. By midweek, the weather is expected to stabilize with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 20s to lower 30s through Thursday.

Residents should monitor road conditions, especially during peak wind gusts Monday night. Ensure vehicles are winter-ready and allow extra time for travel as visibility and road safety may be affected.
