North Texas Weather Shift: Heat Peaks Saturday, Freezing Temps and Rain Next Week

Fort Worth, TX – North Texas will experience near-record warmth through Saturday before a strong cold front drops temperatures next week.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth reports highs in the 80s across much of the region Saturday. A shift begins Sunday, with below-normal temperatures expected through midweek.

Rain chances increase Monday night, peaking through Wednesday. Isolated thunderstorms could develop Monday night and Tuesday. Widespread freezing temperatures are likely Wednesday night.

Afternoon highs will range from the mid-40s to 60s by midweek, significantly cooler than recent conditions. Winds will shift from the south to the north as the front moves in.
