Oakland PD Shuts Down Illegal Casino, Arrests Four and Recovers Firearms

According to the Oakland Police Department, earlier this week, law enforcement arrested four individuals and seized multiple firearms in a crackdown on an illegal casino operating in the 2300 block of East 16th Street.

On July 5, the Oakland PD Community Resource Offices, along with officers from the Violent Crime Operations Center and Intelligence Unit, executed a search warrant at the specified location.

During the operation, three firearms, including an assault rifle equipped with multiple extended magazines, as well as ammunition and an undisclosed amount of cash, were recovered.

Additionally, numerous illegal casino gaming machines were confiscated.

As a result of the operation, four suspects were apprehended and taken into custody.
