Ohio & Kentucky Weather Alert: Snow Expected Along Ohio River Through Tuesday Evening

Cincinnati, OH – Snowfall will develop across areas along and south of the Ohio River on Monday night, continuing into Tuesday morning and tapering off by Tuesday evening. The system is expected to bring travel disruptions and hazardous road conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH, snowfall accumulations will range from 1 to 4 inches, with the heaviest totals expected in northern Kentucky and southern Ohio. Areas such as Portsmouth, Peebles, and Maysville could see 3 to 4 inches, while Cincinnati and Chillicothe may receive between 2 and 3 inches.

The storm is expected to begin impacting travel early Tuesday, with peak snowfall occurring in the morning and early afternoon. Road conditions may deteriorate, particularly on untreated surfaces and secondary roads. Drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra travel time.

The snow is forecast to taper off by Tuesday evening, with conditions improving overnight into Wednesday. Residents in affected areas should stay updated on weather alerts and prepare for possible delays.
