Cleveland, OH – A mix of rain and snow is set to impact northeast Ohio this weekend, bringing hazardous travel conditions to the region. Residents should prepare for icy roads Saturday and dangerous wind chills early next week as an arctic front moves in.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow will develop Saturday morning before turning into a rain/snow mix by the afternoon. Highs on Saturday will hover around 37°F, but temperatures will plummet Saturday night into Sunday, with lows near 19°F. Sunday brings scattered snow showers and a high of only 22°F.

The Arctic air mass arriving Monday is expected to bring even colder temperatures. Wind chills may drop to -15°F, especially Monday night into Tuesday morning, prompting potential cold weather advisories. The National Weather Service has urged residents to bundle up and limit time outdoors early next week to avoid frostbite risks.

Drivers along I-90 and other major roadways should expect reduced visibility and slick surfaces Saturday into Sunday. Snow accumulations are expected to remain light but could cause delays, particularly in higher elevation areas.

Looking ahead, Monday will see a high of just 8°F, with a slight chance of snow showers. By Tuesday, highs will remain in the single digits, though skies are forecast to be partly sunny.
