Pendleton, OR – Residents in eastern Oregon should brace for continued poor air quality as an air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 4 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pendleton. The advisory affects portions of central, north-central, and northeast Oregon, along with parts of Washington, as stagnant air conditions continue to trap pollutants.

According to the NWS, the weather pattern is preventing pollutants from dispersing, leading to potential health risks, particularly for individuals with respiratory conditions. Residents are urged to limit outdoor activities, especially those with asthma or other lung diseases. State air quality officials discourage outdoor burning and advise keeping windows closed to reduce indoor air contamination.
