Eugene, OR – An ice storm warning is in effect until 10 a.m. Friday, with freezing rain and slick roads creating dangerous conditions. Travel is discouraged as roads, bridges, and overpasses may be hazardous.

According to the National Weather Service, additional snow and ice accumulation is expected, especially in the Willamette Valley. Another round of precipitation later Friday could bring more freezing rain and light snow. Temperatures will hover near 34°F, with calm winds.

Looking ahead, rain and snow showers are likely early Saturday, followed by steady rain through the afternoon. Highs will reach 44°F, with little snow accumulation expected. By Sunday, heavy rain returns, with a 100% chance of precipitation and highs near 49°F.

Travelers should prepare for icy surfaces and use extreme caution if walking or driving. Road crews continue treating major highways, but secondary roads may remain hazardous.
