Passenger Critically Injured After Car Rear-ends School Bus in Oakland, Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A vehicle collided with the back of a school bus in Oakland, Tennessee, on Monday morning, trapping one passenger within the wreckage.

Around 6:17 a.m., a crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Highway 64 and Hickory Lake Road near Eads, Tennessee.

According to Fayette County Public Schools, an automobile rear-ended bus 88 when 10 pupils were already on board and another was preparing to board.

According to reports, a person inside the automobile became stuck and needed to be rescued by the Oakland Fire Department. They were sent to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

When it crashed, the bus was on its way to Fayette Ware Comprehensive High School. The pupils were not injured.

The school system said some of the buses may be late as a result of the accident.
