Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver in Los Angeles’ Rancho Park neighborhood

Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead in the Rancho Park neighborhood of Los Angeles Monday night.

The victim was struck around 10 p.m. near Exposition Boulevard and Westwood Boulevard, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told KTLA.

Video showed a white canopy covering the body of an unidentified male victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the victim was outside the crosswalk when he was struck by a dark-colored vehicle that fled the scene.

No further details about the vehicle or any description of the driver were immediately available.
