Plane involved in deadly Arizona collision owned by Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – One person was killed and several others injured after a private plane owned by Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil collided with another private plane in Scottsdale, Arizona Monday.

A midsize business jet, according to the Associated Press, veered off the runway and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 jet that was parked on private property, a spokesperson for Scottsdale Airport told the outlet.

It appears that the jet belonging to the legendary 80’s-era glam-rocker was arriving with four people aboard when its landing gear reportedly failed, resulting in the deadly crash, though the exact details have yet to be independently confirmed by KTLA.

In a statement posted to X from Mötley Crüe’s verified account, the band said Neil was not on the plane, but his girlfriend and her friend both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the jet’s co-pilot was also injured.

“The pilot was tragically killed,” the band said in their X post

Two of those injured in the crash were rushed to a nearby trauma centers, while a third person hurt during the collision was taken to a hospital in stable condition, AP reported.

The band added that crash-related details are still emerging and that their hearts go out to both the family of the pilot that lost his life and the injured passengers.

“Mötley Crüe will announce a way to help support the family of the deceased pilot,” their statement read. “Stand by for an announcement very soon.”

Airport officials said the runway would remain closed for the foreseeable future while officials investigated fatal collision.
