On Wednesday, three individuals were apprehended following a dramatic car chase in the East Bay region.
Throughout most of the pursuit, SKY7’s cameras captured the unfolding events. According to law enforcement officials, the chase commenced in East Oakland at approximately 12:15 p.m.
The police were reportedly in the 7200 block of Fresno Street when they identified a vehicle that was wanted in connection with a prior shooting incident.
The suspect’s vehicle accelerated at a high speed, initiating a high-speed chase with law enforcement.
The pursuit eventually concluded when the driver lost control of the vehicle on westbound Highway 24, near the Telegraph Ave. exit.
SKY7 recorded the moment when the suspects abandoned the car in the middle of the freeway and fled to the guardrail. One of the suspects managed to evade capture by leaping away, while the other two were detained.
According to the police, the remaining suspect was apprehended at around 2:25 p.m.
