Pursuit suspect slams into LAPD vehicle, injuring 2 officers
Two Los Angeles police officers were hospitalized after a pursuit suspect crashed into their patrol vehicle in the Vermont Square neighborhood overnight.
The LAPD began pursuing a reckless driving suspect who was speeding with no lights in the area of West 41st Street and South Figueroa Street around 12:10 a.m., a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed.

The chase ended quickly when the driver crashed into an uninvolved LAPD vehicle at West 42nd Street and Hoover Street, the spokesperson said.
Video showed the suspect’s vehicle rammed into the passenger side of the police car.
Two officers inside the patrol unit were taken to a local hospital with what were described as minor injuries.
The suspect was not injured in the crash and was taken into custody.
No further details about the suspect were immediately released.
The intersection of 42nd and Hoover remained closed as of 5 a.m. due to the ongoing investigation.
