Salt Lake City, UT – Snow and rain will impact Salt Lake City this week, bringing freezing temperatures and hazardous road conditions. Forecasters predict snowfall on Thursday, followed by rain and potential icy patches into Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to begin late Thursday morning, with a 60% chance of accumulation. Temperatures will reach a high of 43°F before dropping overnight, turning snow into a rain-snow mix. By Friday, temperatures will rise to 45°F, but persistent precipitation could create slick roads.

Commuters should prepare for delays, especially on I-15 and I-80, as freezing temperatures overnight may cause black ice. Winds will remain light, but melting snow followed by below-freezing lows could create treacherous conditions into the weekend.

Wednesday will be sunny with a high of 28°F before clouds return Thursday. Friday night will bring continued rain and snow showers, with lows around 34°F. Drivers should check road conditions and allow extra travel time.

Looking ahead, the weekend will bring a chance of lingering snow showers and highs in the low 40s. Residents should plan accordingly for fluctuating winter conditions.
