San Antonio Apartment Complex Faces Gunfire Scare in Early Hours

SAN ANTONIO – Numerous inhabitants of an apartment complex on the far West Side narrowly escaped gunfire that entered their residence in the early hours of Wednesday, as reported by the San Antonio police.

Around 4 a.m., officers were summoned to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Horal Street, located not far from Hunt Lane and just outside Loop 410, after receiving reports of gunshots.

According to the police, a woman stated that she heard a knock at her door, opened it, and encountered an unfamiliar man. At that point, she promptly closed the door, and moments later, an individual began firing shots into her apartment using a rifle.

The police mentioned that the gunfire didn’t harm her or her two dogs. However, the bullets also penetrated the adjoining apartment, passing through a bedroom wall and narrowly missing a sleeping child inside.

The bullets struck a water pipe in the original apartment, causing flooding, as per the police statement. No injuries were reported. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown at this time.
