Residents and visitors are urged to exercise caution near the shoreline, especially around the I-5 corridor, as strong rip currents and gusty winds pose significant hazards.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory will continue until 4 a.m. Sunday. Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high near 65°F, while Sunday will see similar conditions with increasing northwest winds that could gust up to 20 mph. Beachgoers should avoid swimming due to rough surf and powerful currents.

Looking ahead, patchy fog is expected Monday night, particularly after 10 p.m., reducing visibility on roadways including I-5. Temperatures will remain mild, with highs in the mid-60s and lows in the upper 40s through Thursday. Sunny skies will dominate most of next week, making it ideal for outdoor activities once the high surf subsides. Drivers are advised to remain vigilant for fog and slick roads during nighttime hours.
