SAN DIEGO — Authorities say a motorcyclist died last week when his bike hit a car on Interstate 5.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 9:33 p.m. on May 28 on southbound I-5 just north of L Street.
Law enforcement says that the 47-year-old guy was riding a Harley Davidson on I-5 when he hit a Nissan sedan and was thrown off the bike.
First rescuers took him to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The victim was later found to be Gabriel John Novello. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office reported this on its website.
His death was ruled to be a “accident,” according to hospital officials.
