San Diego, CA – A sunny start to the week in San Diego will give way to increasing clouds and rain by midweek, bringing a shift in conditions for residents. Temperatures will remain mild, but rain showers could impact commutes and outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will begin with patchy fog before transitioning into mostly sunny skies with a high near 69°F. Winds will be light, but gusts may reach 20 mph in some areas. Increasing clouds Monday night will lead to a cooler low of 50°F.

Tuesday will bring cloudy skies and a high near 63°F, setting the stage for rain overnight. A 60% chance of showers is expected early Wednesday morning, increasing throughout the day with a high of 65°F. Rain will likely continue into Wednesday night, with scattered showers persisting through Friday.

Commuters should prepare for slick roads and possible delays, especially on I-5 and surrounding highways. Residents planning outdoor activities should take advantage of Monday’s sunshine before wet conditions arrive.
